Demi Moore ditches maple syrup diet to try new 21-day Clean Program

Demi Moore has ended her 10-day maple syrup diet in 4 days only and has moved on to a 21-day Clean Program, developed by cardiologist Dr. Alejandro Junger.

The 'Ghost' star had vowed to follow the plan with her hubbie, Ashton Kutcher, by sipping nothing but the punishing brew, which also contains cayenne pepper and lemon juice, according to the Daily Mail.

But the 47-year-old actress decided to give it up early and move on to Junger's21-day Clean Program.

Instead of a grueling, three-ingredient beverage, Moore could enjoy a shake for breakfast and dinner and a lunch that consists of a vegetable, a grain and a protein.

However, some fans weren't happy that Moore put herself on Junger's program, according to the Daily Mail.

"@mrskutcher I can't believe you're starving yourself like that. It's not healthy you know. The body and brain need fuel to function. So sad," the New York Daily News quoted Chazzyb31 as tweeting.

Demi responded: "@chazzyb31 I think you need to research what it is I am doing there is no starving involved! It is all about nourishing the body!"

There was no word on whether Kutcher's following the program, though a recent Twitter message indicated that he's not.

"My entire office is addicted to pop chips. Phase one complete," he tweeted.

Demi's not the only celeb to undertake the Clean Program-Gwyneth Paltrow, Debra Messing and Mariska Hargitay also have tried it. (ANI)
